 "Beekeeping Basics" March 26th, 6:30-8:30pm in Chilliwack, B.C. $15/person

An introduction workshop to keeping honeybees - basic how-to information & helpful tips for keeping honeybees - for new & emerging beekeepers this 2015.  In an intimate setting (group limit 9 person), I will go over how (where/when) to get your bees, what equipment you will need, how to manage your hives through the months ahead and take care of your bees. This workshop is designed to empower confidence in new beekeepers, support decision-making and learning, and shed light on some of the mysteries you will discover in the world of beekeeping. SPACE IS LIMTED.


 "The Amazing Honeybee" March 28th, 9:15am-10:00am @ Little Mountain Greenhouses' MAPLE FESTIVAL in Chilliwack, B.C.  Free public event.  Laura Cameron - Delisle, local beekeeper, Circlekeeper, environmental educator, foodscape gardener and writer, from Chilliwack B.C. will be talking about the amazing honeybee. Discover how bees communicate, 'who's in the hive', the life & role of a worker bee, what the beekeeping year involves (spring, summer, fall & winter), how bees make honey, the "bounty" of bees, and more. 


 "Circlekeeping Workshops" (Choose from) April 23rd or April 24th, 6:30-8:30pm @ The Bumblebee Circle (home & garden) in Chilliwack, B.C Cost: $25 / person (includes book, value $15+). Come discover what the Circle process entails through the world of bees & beekeeping. In this "Introduction to Circle" workshop you will learn what is meant by Circle, explore building blocks that make up the sacred social process (Cirlce's universal processes, skills and values), and discover a thing or two about bees & beekeeping. Through an interactive learning experience of Circle, you will discover how Circle can be a valuable instrument for empowering self-awareness & well-being, nurturing healthy relationships with others (establishing heartfelt communication), for evoking wonder & awe for nature, and creating connections to the natural world (among other). Finally, participants will take home a copy of the Circlekeeping handbook, Circlebee: A book about Circle & bees [workshop host, Laura's unique Circle design drawn from the wisdom of bees].
